My Why
In December 2026, I will row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the World’s Toughest Row, travelling from La Gomera to Antigua alongside three friends in our boat, Atlantic Aardvarks. I am undertaking this extraordinary challenge to raise funds for VeloSano and the vital cancer research it supports.
This cause is deeply personal to me. Two years ago, my best man and dear friend John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite enduring chemotherapy and radiotherapy with extraordinary courage, he sadly passed away last year. I am rowing for John, for everyone living with cancer, and for the families who stand beside them. VeloSano’s work brings real hope to cancer sufferers by funding the research that will one day change outcomes for patients like John. Every stroke across the Atlantic will be for him — and every dollar raised brings us closer to a future where fewer families lose the people they love.
